Mills Cubbage

Mills Cubbage is the Founder and Managing Partner of Bull Street Partners, an M&A advisory firm focused on representing business owners through acquisitions, sales, and strategic transactions. He leads the firm’s transaction strategy and execution efforts across lower middle market engagements.

Mills entered the M&A industry through an unconventional path. In late 2022, he began working alongside veteran M&A advisor Chuck Crumpton, where he gained early exposure to active transaction processes and closely held companies. Rather than entering the industry through a traditional investment banking environment, his experience was built through direct interaction with business owners and firsthand involvement in live deal environments.

Through extensive in-person meetings with business owners and active participation throughout transaction processes, he gained firsthand exposure to the operational, financial, and strategic considerations that drive lower middle market transactions, as well as practical experience navigating the complexities of live deal environments.

He later founded Bull Street Partners with a focus on building a disciplined, execution-oriented advisory firm centered around preparation, positioning, buyer alignment, and process management. His approach reflects direct transaction exposure and firsthand experience working with business owners throughout complex transaction processes.

Mills is a graduate of Clemson University and has completed the Harvard Law School Executive Education program in Mergers and Acquisitions. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, he now lives in Charleston, where he enjoys spending time on the water fishing and attending Clemson football games with friends and family.
